Some lights are simply there to brighten a room. I wanted this one to do a little more — to become part of the room itself.
I made this wooden wall sconce with a simple geometric shape and a small round wooden detail in the center. When the light is off, it looks almost like a small piece of wooden wall art. Turn it on, and the whole character changes.
The LED light spreads softly above and below the wooden body, while a warm glow appears around the center circle. I especially love the way the light falls onto a textured wall — the shadows become part of the design and make the room feel warmer and more atmospheric.
It works beautifully beside a bed, next to a bathroom mirror, in an entryway or hallway, or anywhere you want a little ambient light without a traditional-looking wall lamp.
Each piece is handmade from natural wood, so the grain and small details will never be exactly identical. That is something I personally love about working with wood — every lamp has its own character.

Because this piece is made from natural wood, the wood grain remains visible. Even with painted finishes such as white or black, you may still see some of the natural texture underneath — I think this makes the lamp feel much more special than a completely flat factory-made finish.
